How it works

By reading for 20 minutes a day, kids will improve their reading skills (this is a fact, there is no question). Kids will also keep their minds sharp and be ready to enter into the new school year right where they left off before summer vacation.

Pick up a reading log at your local library

A reading log will help track reading progress and encourage kids to reach a goal.

Record your reading progress!

The best part of SRC is that your family doesn’t have to be at the Library to participate. Take the reading log on vacation or a trip!

You did it!

Congratulations, you did it!
Return to your Library to show off the completed Reading Log.

*Each participant must be registered for the Summer Reading Club.

Take part in special Summer Reading Club programs*

The majority of ORL branches have special programs and events for registered participants to attend.
